Slowly coming to be known as the Ooty of the poor, Manjolai includes places like Kaakkaachi, Naalumukku,oothu and Kuthiraivetti. It is situated at a distance of 57 km from Tirunelveli, a major city in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The Bombay Burma Trading Corporation's tea plantations constitute a major portion of this hill station. Manjolai boasts a handful of scenic view points and waterfalls, beautiful meadows and lush woods. Treks into the forests can be a wild life tourist's dream come true as one is sure to get a glimpse or more of the bison and deer and other wild animals that abound in the area.
